Slideshower is changing based on your feedback

I’m thrilled to announce some fantastic updates for my macOS slideshow app, Slideshower. Since launching version 1.0, I’ve been listening to your feedback and working hard to make the app better and better. Here’s a rundown of what’s new from version 1.0 to 1.7.

Release history

Version 1.1 (Nov 22, 2023)
  • ESC Button Functionality: Now you can exit the slideshow by pressing the ESC button.
  • Directory Selection: You can select directories and add all the photos inside will be added automatically.
Version 1.2 (Nov 26, 2023)
  • Smooth Fade Transition: Added a smooth fade transition between photos.
Version 1.3 (Dec 1, 2023)
  • Minor UI Improvements: Small tweaks to make the interface nicer.
  • Bug Fixes: Squashed some bugs to keep things running smoothly.
Version 1.4 (Dec 5, 2023)
  • Stop Slideshow from Main Window: Easily stop your slideshow directly from the main window.
  • More UI Improvements & Bug Fixes: Continued to polish the interface and fix bugs for better performance.
Version 1.5 (Dec 7, 2023)
  • Pause & Resume: You can now pause and resume your slideshow with the spacebar.
Version 1.6 (Dec 11, 2023)
  • Remove Photos Button: You can easily remove all added photos.
  • Faster Photo Importing: Importing a large number of photos is now super quick.
Version 1.7 (Dec 13, 2023)
  • Hide/Show Thumbnails: You can hide or show thumbnails to get a cleaner look or a quick overview.
  • Arrow Key Navigation: Easily flip through your photos using the left and right arrow keys.
  • Dark Mode Fixes: Dark mode now looks even better and works smoothly.
